Primary eight pupils of five schools in Tonj South County, Warrap State, sat for the county’s mock examinations yesterday.
Tonj South County director of education Joseph Dam said that the exams are mainly to prepare the candidates for the state final examinations. The director urged the pupils to concentrate on studies asking parents to spare time for their children rather than helping them.
Mr. Dam said that Tonj South County was the first in 2009 state examinations and the least in 2010 saying that this year they would do better.
He added that the examinations were prepared by the teachers in Tonj South County and the contributions of money to print papers were also done in the county.
