A beneficiary of the ongoing eye cataract surgery in Rumbek has expressed hope and happiness after receiving back his vision.
Simon Matit Mabeny, one of the beneficiaries of the camp, told Good News Radio that he was able to see with his right eye and that he is getting better after going through cataract operation.Dr. Francis is one of opticians who confirmed to Good News Radio that 100 cataract surgeries were carried out at Rumbek State Hospital out of 350 already booked for operation.
He added that team will also look into other eye diseases like trachoma.
The project was initiated by Arkangelo Ali Association in partnership with Christian Mission Aid International and Lakes State Ministry.
