More than one hundred cattle keepers last week entered Lainya county occupying Logwele boma in Lainya payam.
The information officer for Lainya county Bullen Lugala told Radio Easter over the phone that the cattle keepers came from Terekeka County under the command of chief Laku Major.He said the herders were led by their chief from Loki Payam.
Mr. Lugala added that the cattle keepers who came in large numbers are well armed.
He said a team of 29 members from Lainya Community went and asked the chief and he responded they were looking for pasture for their cattle.
Mr. Lugala added the community in the county has asked the cattle keepers to leave the area.
