The administrator of a new national weekly broadsheet is travelling to the state capitals to assess challenges of distribution and find correspondents countrywide.
Mr. Thomas Quirynen was in Malakal and told Voice of Love FM that The New Nation will be a new national newspaper covering the whole South Sudan.Mr. Quirynen said the newspaper is an education and information project that will contribute to unify the new nation.
He added that it is very important to circulate news from all different states to build a sense of nationhood.
He said The New Nation will provide a national forum.
The New Nation will start publishing in October but it has already a website.
Its first 5,000 copies will be printed in Kampala, Uganda, to be distributed freely to different schools in South Sudan.
