About 260 displaced children in the Esmoken area of Nuba Mountains are in dire need food and medicines.

An official working with Internally Displaced Persons in Nuba Mountains said the IDPs in Ismoken are in need of food and medicines and the little sorghum they received is not enough.

She added that there are 16 displaced families in Esmoken with a total of about 260 children who need a place to sleep and blankets.

She added that the IDPs required education and radios to listen to in order to forget about the voices of war and other problems they face.

The official urged the international community to come to Nuba Mountains to assist those who are suffering from displacement.
