A former student at Comboni Secondary School in Juba was caught today trying to swindle money from donors by forging the school seal and circulate letters to various institutions requesting support for the Comboni Day celebrations.

The student was caught at the state ministry of Finance where he was called to collect the contribution.

A team of teachers from Comboni Secondary School was also called to seize him.

Nelson Gabriel Janabio, the chairperson of the organizing Committee for Comboni Day, told SCR News earlier that someone has circulated fake letters in the school’s name requesting financial assistance for the celebration.

He said some institutions received two letters from the same school asking for help.

Comboni School officer Lukudu Philip said the offender used the school seal illegally.

The culprit, Bernard Logale, met with a SCR News reporter. When he was challenged that he was cheating donors he dismissed the charge saying the problem was already solved.

Mr. Logale distributed more than ten letters to government institutions, the World Bank and hotels asking for a donation for Comboni Day to be celebrated on October 10.
