NGOs operating in Nuba Mountains, South Kordofan, are calling on the displaced people to stay together in one place to provide them with assistance.
An NGO field coordinator said it was difficult to assist Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) because they disperse looking for safety. He urged IDPs to stay in group in one place so that much needed aid can easily reach them.
The officer added that NGOs operating in Nuba Mountains formed a consortium to share resources and to divide areas of work to deliver aid to the IDPs in different localities.
He explained that NGOs distribute food provided by the World Food Program and non-food items.
He added that the NGOs are sending reports to their head offices in order to restock relief aid.
He said insecurity is the biggest challenge NGOs face while assisting IDPs in Nuba Mountains.
