Drama ensued yesterday at fuel filling station in Torit as over 50 drivers and a dozen of vehicle owners rushed for petrol and each customer demanded to be served first.
Bentino Roy Justo, who runs the only station with petrol in Torit, told Emmanuel Radio that customers came from Nimule, Magwi and Greater Kapoeta, causing some commotion at the fuel station.He explained that his company buys fuel directly from East Africa but the supplies finished after one week.
The struggle for petrol in Torit followed reports over shortages of fuel in Juba.
South Sudan is experiencing constant fuel shortages since May when Khartoum stopped supplies from Sudan.
