The Catholic archdiocese of Khartoum has started today a three-day nonstop adoration marathon for vocations under the theme “Called as one family in Christ to be holy and to witness to the Kingdom of God.”

Cardinal Gabriel Zubeir Wako, the archbishop of Khartoum, opened the 72-hour long Adoration at St. Mathew Cathedral this morning.

This is an annual activity but this time people will be praying for those who have already been called, for the families and the society so that they may be suitable places for vocations.

Church groups, priests, religious, major seminarians and lay people will take turns to pray before the Blessed Sacrament for vocations.

The nonstop marathon of prayers and adoration concludes on Friday.
