A de-worming campaign kicked off today in Tonj South County, Warrap state.
The exercise is being carried out by the Comitato Collaborazione Medica (CMM), an Italian NGO operating in the county, Don Bosco FM reported.Christine Akoth is a health officer working with CCM. She said the de-worming campaign targets every person aged above two years.
She explained that the tablet given protects people from various types of worms.
She added that people need to get another tablet after three months to free themselves from the worms.
Ms Akoth said the public could get the de-worming tablet at primary and secondary schools, the county headquarters and the local hospital.
She added that the de-worming tablets were also available at the eight health facilities supported by CMM.
Ms Akoth said the de-worming campaign in Tonj South County lasts for the whole week.
