Upper Nile ministry of health has distributed on Thursday three medical ambulances for emergency services at county level.

Health minister Stephen Lor Nyak said the three counties receiving ambulances were Mabaan, Longechuk and Nasir, Voice of Love FM reported.

He added that the ambulances are well equipped with radio communication system, life saving equipment and cupboards for medicines.

He added that the state plans to distribute ambulances to other counties too.

Mr. Nyak stated that the ambulances were a gift from the Government of South Sudan.

He added that his state was given a higher number of ambulances because Upper Nile borders North Sudan.

The minister revealed that the state will receive another five ambulances very soon from Germany via Mombasa Port in Kenya to be distributed by the remaining counties.
