CONTRIBUTION FOR ABYEI VICTIMS ENDS IN YEI

The relief contribution for the people displaced by the Abyei conflict ended in Yei yesterday.

The chairperson for humanitarian aid and emergency for Abyei in Yei Monday Moi told Easter Radio this morning that the collection of contribution has stopped and the committee is looking for ways to transport the aid to Mayom Abein.

He said the contribution was mainly clothes, shoes, beans, flour and cooking oil.

Mr. Moi added that the committee for the contribution wanted to escort the aid collected to the displaced people to ensure that it reaches to the area safe.

The relief contributions were initiated by the South Sudan Chamber of Commerce in collaboration with civil societies all over the south.
