The Catholic Bishop of Tombura-Yambio raised concerns over non-compliance of the international community and countries affected by the Lord’s Resistance Army to wipe out the rebellion.
Bishop Eduardo Hiiboro Kussala said the LRA continues terrorizing the region and yet they could be stopped with help from the international community.He said the government is trying to eliminate the LRA although the rebels are elusive.
Bishop Hiiboro added that the LRA always kills, abducts and causes displacement whenever it carries out its activities.
He said that the LRA rebels might be used by bad elements to cause unrest in the region before South Sudan gets independence if a solution is not found.
Bishop Hiiboro added tat the rebel activities have left Western Equatoria people dependant on relief food while before they were self-sufficient.
