Returnees that were settled in Tonj, Warrap state, are complaining about lack of clean water in their plots.

George Ater, one of the returnees settled at Hai Matar, told Don Bosco FM that the area has only one well and the owner charges users 12 Sudanese pounds per month.

He added that women have to fetch water from the river.

Mr. Ater explained that returnees received plots from the county authorities but they lack shelter and some people sleep under the trees because the rain does not allow them to prepare their houses.

Ayen Ngong on her part said hunger is the biggest problem because the three-month food rations given by the World Food Program in Kuajok finished two weeks ago.

She said bad mood comes to parents when their children are crying due to hunger.

Ms. Ngong explained that some returnees sold their plastic sheets which were given together with the food rations and now it is hard to prepare a temporary shelter against the rain.
