John Luk Jok’s comments come weeks after some opposition parties walked out of the Constitutional Review Committee alleging that the SPLM had acquired procedures the parties never agreed upon.
Addressing the press today, Mr. Luk said the Constitution is being reviewed in the interest of the people of South Sudan adding that it is key for an independent state.
He called upon the political parties that walked out to be patient adding that the discussions during the Constitution review are not blocked.
He added that nothing much has been changed from the principles in the Constitution apart an addition on foreign policy.
Minister Luk mentioned that the process has been constrained by limited time although the draft Constitution is expected to be out before the end of the month.
