South Sudan needs urgently to build its own self-identity through hard work and love towards a peaceful country.

This is the view Bishop Edward Hiiboro of Tombuta-Yambio shared with SCR News.

He said people should feel more and more they are South Sudanese.

Bishop Hiiboro said as the country heads towards independence people need to change their attitude and be more considerate.

He added that South Sudan needs a vision of peace, reconciliation and harmony.

The bishop added that nepotism, corruption, tribal differences and lack of experience in governance are stumbling stones in the path of the new nation.

Bishop Hiiboro said the Church is working hard to organize people to receive the independence as a gift from God.
