A 748 staff told SCR News that the company that flies to four destinations in South Sudan, including Bentiu, sells its tickets in Sudanese Pounds.

The source added that in October the management contacted the Bank of South Sudan (BoSS) to be able to change its profits into dollars in order to transfer them to Kenya.

748 did not get an answer from BoSS and decided to suspend its operations and relocate its two passenger planes to Kenya.

Our source said the closure was temporary and now that the referendum was over, they expected BoSS to have time to look into their case and give a positive answer to their request.
