A 19-year old woman gave birth to a baby girl immediately after casting her vote in Torit town on Sunday.
Aneno Susan said she started experiencing labour pains when she was in the queue and headed for the hospital after voting, Emmanuel Radio reported.She took a lift in a car belonging to State High Referendum Committee where she delivered on the way to the hospital.
Mrs. Aneno, who is married to a driver, is the only woman in record to give birth on the first day of referendum in Eastern Equatoria state.
The mother and the baby are both in good health.
