An Eastern Equatoria minister asked workers to resume work since Christmas holidays were over.
Minister for Public Service Emilio Odingila requested the people of the state to report back to their offices after Christmas holidays, Emmanuel Radio reported.Mr Odingila described the absence of the civil servants from work as amazing.
He said the Christmas break ended on Monday and workers should have report to their work places yesterday.
Mr Odingila urged registered voters to keep their cards safely to enable them vote in the referendum.
He added that people should avoid unnecessary movements until the vote due to start within 11 days.
Mr Odingila said all Members of Parliament and executive post holders should campaign in their won constituencies to pass the referendum message to voters on time.
