A sports official called on Sudanese to receive the results of the referendum in the spirit of sportsmanship.
Tong Chor Malek is the President of Olympic Club and Deputy Chairman of Athletics in Khartoum state. He told Bakhita Radio that there should be no hostilities after the results of the referendum.Mr Chor advised the Sudanese to receive the results peacefully, in a fair spirit between winners and losers.
Mr Chor called on politicians from both the NCP and the SPLM to avoid tensions.
He urged authorities not to penalize any group of citizens because of the referendum results by denying them services.
Mr Chor advised the politicians not to create panic with fiery statements.
Mr Chor concluded that the referendum results should emerge peacefully and blessed by everybody.
