Yei River County Referendum Subcommittee started this morning the training of referendum polling officers for the plebiscite due in 12 days.
Fr. Simon Khamis Mabe is the public outreach program manager for the referendum subcommittee. He told Easter Radio that the ninety five polling officers who are attending the training came from Mugwo and Lasu payams.Fr. Khamis added that officials from Otogo and Tore Payams will be trained next and the training for polling and counting officers for Yei County will end on January 6.
He urged citizens to be united for the referendum to take place as scheduled on January 9.
Fr. Khamis said the Yei referendum subcommittee office received already all the ballot papers and other materials needed for the vote.
