WORLD BANK ADDS 2.5 MILLION DOLLARS TO FOOD INSECURITY CONTROL IN SOUTH SUDAN

South Sudan World Bank, which administers the money given by donors to the region, approved an additional 2.5 million US dollars for food crisis prevention in addition to another five million already spent.

World Bank (WB) manager Lawrence Clark told the press this morning that the five million dollars went very quickly to control the prices of food in south Sudan.

Mr. Clark said the WB decided to add 2.5 million dollars to be used by GoSS Ministry of Agriculture towards food security in the region.

Mr. Clark added that the funds would be distributed soon.
