Southern Sudan Referendum Bureau is preparing 30 trainers of trainers on polling and counting procedures for the upcoming vote on self-determination.
The referendum is 24 days away and the Bureau is speeding up preparations for the vote to run smoothly.Kila Janda, chief training officer at the Southern Sudan Referendum Bureau, told Bakhita Radio that her office is introducing 30 officials from the ten states of Southern Sudan on polling and counting procedures.
Ms. Janda revealed that the trainees would offer similar training at state level to county personnel who on their turn will train polling officers for the over 2600 referendum centres.
The training is conducted by international staff and takes two days. Each state is represented by three trainees.
