Yei River County commissioner today warned foreigners in the county not to derail the referendum.
David Lokonga Moses told a political gathering in Yei that some Congolese and Ugandans were arrested in Awindiri, Uganda, while trying to register for the referendum, Easter Radio reported.Mr. Lokonga said those trying to disrupt the referendum in neighboring countries should stop the act.
The Commissioner noted that chiefs were vigilant about vote card sales in the area.
He made these remarks at Yei Freedom Square during a political rally this afternoon.
