The speaker of South Sudan parliament visited Yei County today.
James Wani Igga told a gathering at Yei’s Freedom Square that he was touring all the counties in Central Equatoria state, Easter Radio reported.Speaker Igga thanked the Yei citizens for the good turn-up during the voter registration process.
He urged the 87 thousand registrants to turn up in full strength during the polling that starts on January 9.
Mr. Igga was warmly welcomed by about 500 people.
Until 1997, he was a military commander in the area.
