The Muslim community in Juba celebrated today Eid-Al-Adha, the Festival of the Sacrifice, to ask Abraham’s son to intercede for them.
SCR News caught up with participants at the celebration attended by hundreds of Muslims.Sheik Juma Tombe said the festival was a great day for all Muslims in Central Equatoria, and in the ten states of southern Sudan, a day full of joy.
Hammed Masembe said that he celebrated Eid-Al-Adha like Christians celebrate Christmas.
The Festival of the Sacrifice lasts for three days and it is placed at the end of the Hajj, the Pilgrimage to Mecca.
