The governor of Eastern Equatoria announced a three-day holiday for civil servants to register for the upcoming referendum scheduled to take place on the January 9, 2011.
Governor Louis Lobong Lojore said the time off work would allow public workers to travel and register at their own places.Mr. Lobong urged registered citizens to keep their cards in a safe place in order to be able to vote at the January Referendum.
Mr. Lobong called on citizens to turn up for registration.
The governor made these declarations after registering yesterday in Torit.
