RUMBEK EAST COUNTY CONCLUDES TRAINING OF REFERENDUM OFFICIALS

Rumbek East County concluded a six-day training of 93 referendum Sub-Committee members.

The Chairperson of Aduel Referendum Centre, John Malual Magok, thanked on behalf of the trainees the authorities for the training, Good News Radio reported.

Mr. Malual applauded the message of Rumbek East county commissioner Marial Gumke during the opening of the workshop.

Mr. Gumke said the 1983 liberation struggle was started by the youth and that it would be concluded by the youth through their active participation in the referendum processes.

Mr. Malual appealed to the State Referendum High Committee to provide the referendum staff with means of transport, medicines, security and a certificate.

Chairman of Rumbek East Referendum Sub-Committee, William Madong Mading, said that the workshop focused on the technical aspects of the registration exercise like filling in the forms.

Mr. Madong praised the trainees for their commitment during the workshop.

He added that their work was a duty done voluntarily for the good of the country and of their own future.

Rumbek East County has 31 Referendum Centres.
