Rumbek Central County community groups were trained on voter registration awareness.
Sudanese Network for Democratic Elections (SuNDE) conducted the workshop on Friday in Rumbek.Participant Alfred Ater Ariau told Good News Radio that the workshop aimed at bringing awareness about the requirements for voter registration.
Mr. Ater added that the public was aware that the registration process starts on Monday.
He encouraged eligible voters to turn up, register, keep their cards safe and turn up on the voting day.
SuNDE volunteer, David Yang Kau, said that the workshop brought together different community groups, including women, youth, and people living with disabilities.
Mr. Yang explained that the participants would share the message with their peers.
He disclosed that SuNDE shared voter information through different activities like meetings with community leaders, road-side shows and market day events.
SuNDE is a non-partisan coalition of more than 75 Sudanese civil society organizations and faith-based groups working together for free, fair, and peaceful, democratic process.
