GoSS president was in Wau yesterday to meet the four governors of the Greater Bahr el-Ghazal Region and address a big crowd at the Isaac Stadium.
Salva Kiir Mayardit called for a peaceful campaign in preparation for the referendum, though some issues like borders demarcation, tAbyei referendum and the popular consultations in Blue Nile and Southern Kordofan were not yet solved, SCR News correspondent reported.Mr. Kiir stated the campaign should be carried without harassment to the Southerners in the North or to the Northerners in the South.
The President said the referendum is the responsibility of each citizen and both separatists and unionists must be allowed to exercise their right to vote and that the outcome should be respected by both parties.
