The campaign for of unity or separation in the upcoming referendum kicks off officially on November 7.
Mary William Juwa is Eastern Equatoria State High Commission for Referendum outreach officer. She told Emmanuel Radio that the official campaigns for the referendum go from November 7 to January 7, 2011 while voters’ registration starts on November 14 and ends on December 1.Ms. Juwa appealed to citizens to register only if they were sure they would vote in January 9 in order to protect the validity of the referendum.
The referendum for South Sudan self-determination is valid only if at least 60 percent of registered voters take part in the exercise.
