Civil Society activist Carlo Arego Wani explained that they were supporting President Salva Kiir in New York to speak according to the will and voice of southerners.
Mr. Wani urged SPLM and NCP plus other stakeholders to see in to it that other parts of the CPA yet pending are implemented.
Participant Kur Ayuen expressed that he was excited to march since it shows the strength of southern Sudanese.
Mr. Ayuen urged south Sudanese to move forward and ensure the CPA is implemented with the support of the international community.
On his part, the Acting regional coordinator of UNMIS congratulated southern sedan Civil Society of conducting the peaceful demonstration.
UNMIS Silvia Fletcher promised to cooperate with the civil society if they continue to have non violent protest.
The civil society members handed over a letter addressed to Ban Ki-Moon, the UN secretary General.
