ACCIDENTS ON THE INCREASE DUE TO HIGH TRAFFIC

The GoSs minister of Transport, Roads and bridges said sharp rise in traffic has increased the number of accidents in southern Sudan.

Anthony Lino Makana made this comment during his opne remarks for a workshop on Road Safety this morning in Juba.

He called on proper use of roads and effective regulatory frame work to reduce the scenario.

Mr. Makana urged all governments in the states to prioritize road safety.

He reiterated GoSS’ commitment to develop roads across the region.

The workshop was attended by many stakeholders from the ten states of southern Sudan, under the theme: “making Roads Safer”.

The two days’ workshop started today and ends tomorrow with recommendations and way forward.
