The environment in Central equatorial State is under severe threat from human wastes dumped in the River Nile and factory fumes, said the state minister of Agriculture and Forestry.

Michael Roberto Kenyi spoke to SCR news. He blamed the factories and hotels along the rivers for disposing the waste in the river.

Mr. Kenyi added that human waste and solid plastics are being dumped in the nearby village which is affecting the people leaving there.

He noted that the Juba Mountain commonly known as Jebel-Kujur has also been destroyed in the name of construction.

Mr. Kenyi said the state ministry of environment is working on legal policies that will enforce laws that deter individuals from endangering the environment.
