Talking to SCR news, the acting undersecretary of the ministry of environment, Victor Wurda Lo-Tombe said the policy bill is still in a draft form that will be read and scrutinized by the public so that it can be validated for further approval.
Mr. Tombe mentioned that the draft bill tackles all aspects of the environment citing the implementer assessment and social assessment that is mandatory to any institution that would want to carry out environmental services.
He added that the bill also tackle issues on pollution, forestry, oil and forestry among others.
Goss vice president opened the workshop and called upon the participants to critically review the bill adding that environment is crucial to the development of the region.
