Gidel Parish celebrated on Saturday the feast of its patron saints Peter and Paul.
Parish priest Francis Angela conducted the Eucharistic celebration.
He said in his homely that Peter and Paul were great apostles chosen by God to preach the Gospel.
He added that Peter was chosen to be the leader of the Church.
Fr Angela said these were the saints God chose to spread the message of life to us today.
He stated that the congregation honored the two saints because they were the patrons of the parish and the primary school.
Fr Angela concluded by saying that Christians should continue to preach the word of God in spite of daily challenges.
