Tombura-Yambio Catholic Church gives food to over 2000 IDPs in Ezo Parish

The Catholic Organization for Development and Peace in the Catholic Diocese of Tombura Yambio distributed food items to 2160internal displaced persons who fled from Tombura County to Ezo.

According to Ezo County Acting Relief and Rehabilitation Commission Coordinator, Wilson Danadiri Saverio, the food saved 2160 individuals in 360 households, Anisa radio reported.

He said many IDPs appreciated Bishop Eduardo Hiiboro Kussala of the Catholic Diocese of Tombura for supporting the vulnerable people from Tombura who had nothing to eat.

Danadiri appealed to the Church to continue providing the IDPs who are seeking shelter in Ezo especially those in Regina Mundi Catholic Parish.

The beneficiaries appreciate the Church for supporting them with the food since they arrived in Ezo County without assistance from any organization.

Others demands for tools and seeds to plant because it is good for them to cultivate instead of getting relief food.

The beneficiaries made this remark over the weekend after receiving their assistance from the Catholic Organization for Development and Peace Humanitarian Response in the Catholic Diocese of Tombura-Yambio.
