Communion of Evangelical Churches Bishop enthroned in Yambio Diocese

The new bishop of the Communion of Evangelical Episcopal Churches in South Sudan was enthroned in Yambio Diocese

Bishop Yepeta Nathan calls on sister churches in Yambio and South Sudan to work collectively and drive the people closer to God through evangelization for a common good, Anisa Radio reports.

Meanwhile Archbishop of Middle East and Horn of Africa, Robert Gossline advises the new bishop to work closely with the people on the ground.

The Archbishop who came from United States of America for the occasion, urges the new bishop to train more religious leaders in the diocese to proclaim the word of God to the people.

The Acting Governor of Gbudue State Grace Datiro calls upon Christians to collaborate with the new Bishop in order for them to grow in their Christian life.

She adds that each person has the responsibility of preaching the word of God.

The acting governor dismisses rumours going round about Ebola outbreak in Yambio, affirming that there is no Ebola case in South Sudan or Yambio.

She advises communities to be vigilant and report any sign of Ebola to health facilities or call free hot line 6666.

The speakers made the remarks on Sunday at Communion of Evangelical Episcopal Churches Cathedral in Yambio.
