A team of diplomats and SPLM cadres will assist chief negotiator Pagan Amum after learning negotiation and mediation skills in a five-day workshop in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
SPLM Information Secretary Bol Makweng told CRN upon arrival in Juba that the skills and knowledge got from the workshop would help them to draw strategies to overcome deadlocks.He said the team will be working with directly with Mr Amum.
Mr Makweng added that 16 members from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the SPLM were given a hands-on training on mediation, negotiation and reconciliation.
