The army denied reports that soldiers were arresting youths in Pibor, Jonglei State, and bringing them to Lukurunyang area.
Sources in Pibor told CRN earlier in the week that soldiers were arresting youths and taking them to Lukurunyang and some unknown places.A mother of a 14-year old said her son was arrested by the SPLA last week and she did not his whereabouts.
Army spokesperson Philip Aguer Panyang told CRN over the phone on Thursday that the army command did receive any report concerning the arrests.
He told CRN to verify the report through Pibor County Commissioner office.
