The Ugandan businessmen and the Mayor of Juba on Friday agreed to work together on tax payment.
Mayor Mohamed Babala told the press that there were some misunderstandings between the Ugandan business community and his Council.He said the Ugandan businessmen wrote to their Embassy and the Embassy sent ta letter to his office and he immediately called for the meeting to iron out the misunderstandings.
Mr Babala called on the Ugandan businessmen first to sort their issues with the City Council before taking them to their embassy.
The chairperson for Ugandan community in South Sudan Mathias Kitavujja said they had ironed out a lot of issues and agreed to partner with Juba City CCouncil authority.
He expressed happiness that the office of the Mayor was opened to address any misunderstanding.
Mr Kitavujja added that they agreed with Juba Payam authority to pay a fee of 300 pounds for small trucks and 500 pounds for big trucks.
The Mayor called on all the businesspeople to respect the orders of the City Council because it is delegated by the national government.
