Elderly people need more social justice and health care in the country.

This was the main message from the celebration of Social Justice Day dedicated to aged people in collaboration with Help Age International, Bakhita Radio reported.

SSOPO or South Sudan Older People Organization director Donaldo Ochan said in his remarks that the NGO lacks capacity to address the issues of social justice and health for the elderly.

Mr Ochan accused women of committing injustices against the older in-laws at home.

He said families should take care of their elders at home.

Help Age International Representative David Turner said the International Day of Social Justice looked at the health situation of the elderly.

He said eye care was a key area for older people.

The International Social Justice Day was celebrated all over the world to recognise old age people in the community.
