Yei Chamber of Commerce, Agriculture, Industry and Investment reported that market prices were relatively stable compared to 2012.

Chamber chairperson Tito Ayambu Zakondo told the press that prices have fallen down especially rice, sugar and soap, Radio Easter reported.

He said dollars were still difficult to find but he hoped this would be a competitive year.

Mr Ayambu appealed to the business community to lower their profit margins so that all citizens could afford to buy what they needed.

He appreciated the role played by farmers who are producing enough vegetables to supply the local market.

Mr Ayambu said despite of the scarcity of dollars, the business community and the National Government were struggling hard to stabilize the economy in the country.
