The office of the deputy head teacher of Nile Model Secondary School in Juba burnt to ashes destroying more than 80 forms filled for the Sudan Certificate.

School official Alfred Lako Elia told Bakhita Radio that the fire started at 3 PM on Sunday.

He said all forms, files, school certificates, stationery, books and the stamps went up in flames.

Mr Lako added that the forms that more than 80 students filled to sit for the Sudan School Certificate were burnt in the fire.

Mr Lako said the school reported the incident to the Ministry of General Education and it is waiting for advice how to proceed.

He added that the forms for the Sudan School Certificate should be submitted to ministry by February 15 but they were burnt by the fire.

The official said the school administrator is worried about the question of those forms.

Mr Lako said the administration suspected that thieves broke into the office and set it on fire after collecting what they liked.

He added that thieves break into the school often because the building is not fenced.

The police are investigating the blaze.
