Citizens around Juba on Tuesday welcomed the announcement of the Equatoria Conference on February 14 to 15.
Bakhita Radio caught up with some people in the streets of Juba and registered their views and expectations.Mbikoyezu Moses remarked that many changes happened since the last conference in 2011.
He said education and food security should be the central issues in the upcoming conference.
He commented that Eastern Equatoria is facing food problems, a sign that the resolutions from the previous conference were not implemented.
Ochola Bosco called upon the participants to come up with a common goal to unify Equatorians.
He said he expected that the conference boosted trade and economy and promoted education and health and the construction of roads.
The Equatoria Conference was called to review the resolutions of Equatoria Conference 2011 and to chart a common strategy to consolidate justice, unity and prosperity in the three states of Greater Equatoria.
