SPLM-Lakes States chairperson said he forgave all party members who rebelled against his leadership except one.

Daniel Awet Akot said Thursday he forgave all those who rebelled because he appointed Mabor Ater Dhuol as Acting SPLM State Secretary, Radio Good News reported.

Mr Awet is also deputy speaker at the national assembly.

He said he could not forgive State Information Minister Charles Badri Mayen because he insulted him.

He explained that four months along the road he won the fight and now he had to forgive his opponents.

Mr Awet said his contribution to the liberation struggle will be judged by history, revealing that he directed his son to write a biography about his legacy.

He lamented that he was betrayed by his own people of Lakes State, including the media.

The SPLM Chairperson donated eight pickups to the party’s county secretaries, Youth League and to the party spokesperson Martin Malual Butqoklec for his extraordinary efforts to unite the party during the hard times.
