The SPLM-N Youth Political Leader at Debi Administrative Unit in Nuba Mountains called upon the youth to protect their country.
Philip Osman revealed that after the eruption of war in South Kordofan, youths from Debi were recruited into the army to protect their land from SAF attacks. He added that although the humanitarian situation was deteriorating, the majority of the youth from Debi remained at their places.
He affirmed that only students were sent to Yida Refugee Camp, in South Sudan’s Unity State, to complete their education.
Mr Osman advised the youth to be patriotic and to work hard for the freedom in their homeland.
Debi was the battlefield when the war broke out between the SPLA-N and the Sudanese Government forces in 2011.
