WORLD VISION STARTS CHILD PROTECTION PROJECT IN TONJ

World Vision started a new project on child protection in Tonj South County of Warrap State.

Child Protection Officer Ayom Mawien Arou said the NGO started collecting children with no parents and guardians, Radio Don Bosco reported.

He said that they started visiting schools last week in Tonj South County and Tonj East County to mobilize school children.

Mr Mawien said the objective of the project was to support and build the local capacity and strengthen local resources for children, youth and family.

He added that World Vision is going to establish a centre where children stay and play games from morning to evening.

Mr Mawien said teachers, chiefs, parents and guardians will mobilize children in various areas.

He explained that the staffs started preparing the place on Thursday for the children to start activities next week.

Mr Mawien urged all the parents and guardians to allow their children to come to child protection centre.
