A Confident Children out of Conflict official said child prostitution is on the increase in Juba town especially during the dry season.
Cathy Groenendijk told CRN on Friday that between December and May many teenage girls ranging from 11 to 13 are involved in prostitution.Ms Groenendijk said the girls are practicing prostitution to earn money rather than being raped at nights.
Ms Groenendijk said most of the prostitutes in Juba came from the neighbouring countries.
She explained that mothers of three babies refused their children.
Ms Groenendijk said she has reported the case to the Central Equatoria State ministry of Social Development.
She said many prostitutes carry out their businesses in hotels.
She advised parents to take care of their girls to prevent them from leaving their areas and migrate to the town and to do this wrong business.
