Three suspected child abductors have been arrested in Ngangala village of Lirya Payam in Central Equatoria on Christmas Day.
A source from the village told Bakhita Radio that after thorough investigations the suspect identified themselves as Murle of Pibor County, Jonglei state.The source said the suspect came when villagers were busy on traditional Christmas dance.
He said they were ambushed and three of them captured and the other two escaped.
They said five of them came to inspect if there were children in Ngangala village to be abducted.
Eastern Equatoria and part of Central Equatoria are still under threat of abductors who have already stolen some hundreds of children from the area in the last few years.
They said they came on Christmas day because Christmas is busiest day for parents and children.
